Additional Information
The Sonatina for Viola was written in 1981, with minor revisions being made in 2009. It is in three short movements and last just over 6 minutes.
The first movement is marked Moderato and consists of chords and short melodic phrases which unfold in the manner of a mosaic. The second movement is an Adagio and has two alternating motives. The third movement is a fast dance-like Allegro in ternary form and builds to a fast and brilliant close.
