Composer
for clarinet, cello and piano
Additional Information
Premiered by Ensemble Cymru in Schools across South Wales in September, 2019. This piece is inspired by three stars that form an asterism; a noticeable collection of stars. Altair, Deneb and Vega belong to separate constellations, but their arrangement in the sky form the vertices of the Summer Triangle. Altair is the brightest star in the constellation of Aquila, Deneb is found in the constellation of Cygnus and Vega is the brightest star in the constellation of Lyra. The piece explores the relationship between these three stars and their place in the night sky.
