for chamber orchestra

Additional Information

In Chasing Lines a single melodic line threads through the orchestra, often ornamented differently in more than one instrument simultaneously. Twice during the piece this melody is interrupted by sections in which players improvise on motifs from the melody.

Chasing Lines was written for the London Contemporary Chamber Orchestra and performed by LCCO conducted by Alan Taylor.
