Biography

Matt Geer is a British composer born in 1996, whose main musical interests lie in phenomenological approaches to consciousness, system composition and aesthetic philosophy. In a world temporally accelerated by technology, his music explores a range of ways that sounds can influence our consciousness. Meditation, ritual and chant have a major impact on his aesthetic and compositional output, and he regularly engages with the use of permutational and combinatorial systems.
