Based on the poem Digging by Irish poet Seamus Heaney, Enturfment continues my exploration of the use of vocal effects in instrumental music. The text gradually emerges as a surface texture as the piece progresses, becoming more prominent until the piece ends softly with breaths and gentle whistling sounds.
