'Of The Heart' was commissioned by the European Society of Cardiology and illuminates the varying imagery of the heart: its rhythm and life-enhancing qualities contrasted with its fragility, beauty and symbolism in love and the human condition. The heart is heard through vibrant rhythms, elegiac melodies, ethereal textures and a strong structure and narrative, with lyrical dialogue between the string instruments.
