Masques is a short piece which is fashioned as a mosaic of different sections, each one with its own character and mood. The overall structure is underpinned by a rhythmically simple sequence of chords that opens the work and which periodically repeats, and this allows for more elaborate and inventive episodes in between.

This piece was commissioned by the International Guitar Foundation and premiered at the London Guitar Festival in 2018 by Dimitris Soukaras.
