Additional Information

The music was created using my voice and various instruments made of wood, including wooden spoons, wood blocks, piano and natural wood resonators.

I created musical fragments suggested by the shapes of the sculptures, using words which appear in the installation, the names of the trees and words used by the artist to describe the experience of working with it.

These fragments merge into each other, much in the way that you might encounter a changing landscape walking through the border country. The melodic, harmonic, rhythmic and textural sounds are direct translations of some of the sculptures’ shapes.
