Additional Information

This work responds to the algorithmic research of Dr Emma Hart and presents the singer (Frances Lynch) with a series of permutations of a simple sequence of notes. She sings through these permutations until she settles on one that she enjoys singing. For the website recording this has been overlaid a number of times to create a labyrinth of possible solutions, which gradually converges on a coherent texture.

This work was created as part of an electric voice theatre Minerva Scientifica Project at Edinburgh Napier University from February – June 2017
