Postcards for Classical Guitar is a series of four small pieces that look to create brief snapshots into strange and uncanny sonic worlds. The pieces draw on and attempts to eschew familiar devices and tropes of guitar writing.

1) Desert Song: A short, lyrical melodic phrase is continually repeated through the composition. With each repetition the melody is contorted and developed.

2) Gatos Dance (Cat Dance): A frenetic dance like composition that ritualistically juxtaposes two materials.

3) Choros: A brief quote from Villa-Lobos is interrupted by a secondary theme composed around the material.

4) Mountain Song: A very simple melody comprised of crotches is repeated throughout the movement. Towards the end the notes are re-arranged to allow for subtle variation.
