Additional Information

The original manuscript was written in short score.The present edition is laid out for 4-part choir (SATB) with Organ accompaniment with pedals.

There were additional pencilled notes, presumably added by the composer during rehearsals, which suggest that he was in the process of revising his ideas at certain points in the score, namely bars 4, 5, 25. As these appear conjectural, the present editor has not amended the original text.
