Quintet for Biscuit was premiered at the SQ+ series of concerts at St Bartholomew the Great Church, London in October 2012 with the support of PRS for music Foundation.

It was written for and performed by Nicola Burnett-Smith (vocals and clarinet) and Bergersen Quartet.

The lyrics are made up of verbatim extracts from interviews provided by Jess Thom and real tics documented on her website www.touretteshero.com

The piece explores the themes of living with tourette's syndrome and the limits of what is normal/exceptable behavoir both in real life and in the 'concert hall'.
