The Trio is a miniature work in 4 Movements.
It was composed and recorded (remotely via the internet) during lockdown; it was released as an EP in 2020 and has received radio airplay worldwide.

Programme Notes:
Throughout this work I wanted the instruments to interweave, support, contrast and reflect each other’s voices; to be equals in the conversation and a true collaboration.
I feel the work is mostly reflective and evocative of the singular time of its creation - it honours the space and silence between the notes and looks for beauty in the darkness just as we must look for beauty in our seclusion. I wanted the 4th Movement to re-energise the mood and bring us back the spark of life in action.
First broadcast on the national classical radio station of Netherlands - Concertzender on 22nd Nov 2020.

In February 2022 the Trio was awarded a finalist's place in the New York City Contemporary Music Symposium and Bowery Trio's 2021 call for scores.
The work received its Concert Worldwide Premiere by A/tonal on the 2nd October 2022 at the Stiefler Recital Hall, Ogle Center, Indiana University Southeast, USA.
