Commissioned by Sounds Positive with funds provided by Greater London Arts and written in the summer of 1990, straight after I had completed my training as a music therapist.  No specific programme, but it is intended to reflect some of the pain, suffering, anger, grief, despair and desolation brought about by mankind's exploitation and misuse of the world's resources.  Prefaced with a quotation from Jeremiah, Chapter 12, Verse 4:  "How long will the land mourn, and the grass of every field wither?"
