crossing-the-five-oceans

Additional Information

Crossing the Five Oceans is one of a series of works which have drawn their inspiration from the book 'A Mystical Journey' by Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen. This work concerns the journey of the soul through five oceans, each represented by a different colour; silver, red, black, blue and gold. These oceans represent the soul's attachments to the material world, all of which must be overcome if the soul is to complete its journey towards union with God.
