Additional Information

This quintet is in two short movements; the first is a slow movement in sonata form, but with only one subject, the second is a rondo.  As well as using complex rhythms, the work explores the use of double harmonic scales.  The major form has flat second and sixth and the minor form has augmented fourth and major seventh.
