This is the first part of my major setting of scenes from Milton's great epic. The setting is for soloists, large chorus, treble choir, large orchestra and organ and lasts in total just over one hour. The first part is 'The Great Consult', beginning 'in media res' with Satan and his fallen angels in Hell, debating what to do next.
