Additional Information

This is a piece of fun, an arrangement of the melody of the Sky Boat Song (folk song) as a samba. It was inspired by Arthur Benjamin's 'Jamaican Rumba', also for piano duet, which was a favourite of mine to play with my mother.

It was first performed publicly on Friday 19 July 2019 at St Mary Islington 'Soul in the City' festival with the composer and Gisela Meyer at the piano.
