Chinese Erhu - 'Snowfeathers', for erhu, violin, piano and percussion, by Jennifer Margaret Barker

Additional Information

"In composing 'Snowfeathers', I was inspired by the beauty of snow-laden landscapes and the winter habits of Red Cardinals, who do not migrate to warmer regions. Throughout the musical fabric, the erhu and the violin remain intimately intertwined, paying reference to the fact that Red Cardinals remain with the same mate throughout their lives, while at the same time acknowledging the physical and aural similarities of the two instruments." - Jennifer Margaret Barker

The score and parts for this piece are available from McKenna-Keddie Publishing, which can be accessed from the composer's website (http://www.jennifermargaretbarker.com).
