They Fall; They Dance is a reworking for piccolo/flute and string quartet of the 2nd movement of my Opus 57 score Scending. The piccolo/flute line remains largely unchanged, while the original accordion part is distributed among the four string instruments. Some material has been added and some removed to create a more definitive ending for the piece, the original having flowed directly into the 3rd movement.
